Obesity is a Disease? Bullshit!

Yes indeed, there are some glandular conditions that can lead to obesity and to those that suffer from such, please understand that anything said in this video does NOT apply to you.
Too many times I've heard fat people using their little get out clause..'Oh it's a disease. I can't help it!' Bullshit.. you are the only person who controls what goes into your mouth and how much exercise you do.
If you choose to lead a completely sedentary life and fill your face with crap all day, you will get fat.
You know it's the truth! :)

For record.. I don't hate fat people for being fat.

obesity is caused by ignorance it is not a disease. We basically follow our parents when we are young and if they did not have a proper diet and did not exercise we will often follow these bad habits.

@AutumnTheHairStylist Hey Autumn.. it seems you misunderstood. Yes I'm obese, I fully admit it and talk about it in the video. What I object to is fat people blaming their obesity on 'a disease'. Obesity isn't a disease and we need to stop labelling it so. We can't stop shoving food in our faces, that's the issue and I get tired of hearing excuses. It's down to us and us alone.

My point of my two earlier posts was that I don't think the "obesity is not a disease" definition advocates think that obesity itself is a bad thing. I think they are angry at fat people who feel being fat is a bad thing but who then blame it on other things. I think the "obesity is not a disease" advocates would be perfectly content with fat people who were happy and contented with themselves.

GOD, I hate semantics. I don't give a damn whether people call obesity or alcohol addiction or sex addition a "disease" or "sickness" or not.

Seems that those who prefer to classify it as NOT a disease have FAR stronger feelings about that than those who DO prefer to classify it thusly.

So, I defer to those with the stronger feelings on the subject.

That said: WHO THE F CARES?

There is little effect from being obese.

I used to believe obesity had nothing to do with genes. But, as I learned more, I found more and more of it DOES have to do with gene. But, of course, I was that way on a LOT of things: believing MANY things had nothing to do with genes, but later learning (in biotech classes) that there ARE genes that INFLUENCE certain behavior: even religioisity!

That said: if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

Bottom line is: I don't see obesity as a problem. And it is GREATLY exaggerated as an "epidemic". BS!
