My first RR pup, Kim, used to play with a local plumber's Red Heeler/Aussie Cattle Dog, another compact but very tough-minded breed. She was about 1/3 his weight but she never showed the slightest sign of anything but having a good time. Like Sonny in this vid of yours, she didn't know the Ridgeback 'moves', which you really only see when two RRs play together; lots of rearing up, somersaults, bunnyhops and other crazy stuff. It took a 2nd RR to show us what our 1st one was really like!

Thanks for sharing this video with me, AppleInvestor … sounds as if we have the same taste in computers as we have in dogs :-). Sonny must be a tough-minded dog: a lot of breeds, especially the not so big ones, have a hard time with the very rough play which RRs enjoy so much. I really hope Sonny continues to enjoy the playing as Dayo gets bigger and stronger. As Dayo is growing up with Sonny, they should stay best mates!
I see Sonny is teaching him well! My oldest ridgeback mix (Jack) teaches my youngest (Deacon) to fight as well. He (Jack) is long in the tooth but a great warrior! I can see Dayo will be among the greats as well!

@bunkman64 At the rate he is growing, he should overtake Sonny by mid summer!
