Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 HEMI - ROAD TEST 2011

Experience some sights and sounds of the 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 HEMI Inaugural Edition. I was able to drive it on the same canyon roads that I recently drove the Mustang Shelby GT500 and was shocked at how fast and how great this car handles for being over 600 lbs. heavier than the Shelby.
This limited edition 392 I.E. package will cost about $47,000 and features the new 6.4L HEMI engine that is good for 470 horsepower and 470 ft.lbs. of torque. The special interior is very flashy at first but fits perfect with the overall feel of the car...which is in your face awesome but sedate enough to live with every day.
Speaking of living with this car, during my grueling commute to work the few days I had this thing, my fuel mileage average was 21 mpg combo which blew me away.
Do I want this car, heck yes I do! But this price range has some stiff competitors.
The collect-ability factor is very high with this factory hot rod though. Dodge will make less than 1500 of these so you had better get in line pretty quick to own one.

WHAT THE SRT-8 LACKS IN POWER IT MAKES UP IN COMFORT ESPECIALLY ON BADS ROADS THAT WILL OTHERWISE BEAT YOU UP IN A MUSTANG.

@Richiesmad I'm not really refering to the Z rating on the tires. If you look at a lot of the super sports SUV's, and big fast sedans, or the Mercedes SL class. A lot of those vehicles aren't limited by aerodynamics. They are limited by the tire manufacturers not being able to produce a tire rated to handle that kind of friction with 2 plus tons of weight at a sustained high speed. Some old race car driver swore up and down that lightness wasn't all speed it was to save tires too.
