The Gaylads - 'My Jamaican Girl' originally released in 1971 and re-released in 1995 by Trojan. Well I may not be a Jamaican girl myself - but I like to think and it usually go so - that when you say Jamaican it also includes all us Caribbean women :-)

Beautiful, takes me back to when I was a youngster and cutting my teeth on this fantastic new sound that was washing over from the carribean to the cold streets of England, any tunes I hear from the Gaylads...they always lift me and take me back to those days, wonderful music.

@Socarbon ... your welcome :-) for those of a certain age though the term 'gay' simply meant happy or of a carefree spirit (often associated and used to describe young carefree and single straight people) so its connotation had a completely different meaning when the Gaylads chose their name - I'm sure if they had foreseen the term being hijacked to mean what it does today they probably wouldn't have chose it and instead called themselves "the Happy Lads"...lol
