Aimachi 2008 - November 30, Rehearsal Run-through

This video was taken by one of our staff members on November 30, 2008 in our rehearsal gym in Aikiyo. This was exactly 3 weeks before our finals performance in Tokyo.

It was a Sunday rehearsal, which are the "long rehearsal" days for us - 10a-11p. Needless to say, we were a bit fried by the time we got to this run-through - which may have been our second of two runs. (it's too hard to remember that specific day, but I'm almost positive we did two runs that night, as we did a few times during the last month of the season).

There were a few people missing on this day so if it looks like a huge gaping hole in the form, probably someone who was absent. :) And if you notice the one guard guy that is "air" working the whole way through - he had an injury and wasn't allowed/able to handle the equipment.

about the trumpet solo at 3:31, did he mess up a bit because of exshaustion or just a tiny mistake?

It's just a mistake... it happens. :) The guy playing the solo in this video wasn't the actual show soloist. He was absent for this rehearsal so the solo was played by one of the other trumpet players.

So I think one of the best things I love about this video aside from the plethora of amazing musical moments is the guard. I do guard at my college and unfortunately we do nothing that can compare to that display of agility, grace, and power that I just witnessed in that video! Definitely keep up the good work! I seriously have watched this video about 25x in two days! That's how much you guys inspire me! Do you guys have someone that does choregraphy for you?
