  • Guys these Squirrels are great conservationists. We got thousands of young trees growing in the garden where the squirrels keep burrying tree seeds, Oak,Hazels,Maple etc. Baby oak trees actually coming up in the lawn where we watched the squirrels burrying them. Its funny how they plant them at the right depth to grow, the ones they forget about all grow into trees. Great for nature. Squirrels create Forrests Period!!!

  • @MrNativeDancer great comment. That's why its important to add more trees and shrubs to our yards so that these wonderful little guys have plenty of habitat.

  • I've put your documentary on my website and was wondering if that was ok?I did credit you with a link to your channel.I didn't have a youtube account at the time so I couldn't ask.

  • @sogsaveourgreys Did you use the embed code from Youtube? That's my preferred method for people who want to share my videos. What is the website?

  • Great videos, thank you!

  • (as my father purposefully makes them out of the reach so there may be something left for the birds!) lol Since you mentioned that she is breeding at this time of the year (i.e. summer time), that may explain why she is coming regurarly again to ask for food. She always asks by standing on her hind legs and nestling both claws to her chest. I'm convinced she gives thanks too, amazing thing!

  • dig it immediately into an area of my mother's plants in the garden (much to my mum's annoyance of course!) hehe Whenever I give her a nut without a shell, again she will eat it straight off 9/10 times. I've also fed her peanut butter and coconut, although I've seen her and other grey squirrels in the area carrying things like drumsticks, chocolate bars and even pain au chocolats in their mouths! Oh, and they like bird food too, often demonstrating amazing acrobatic skills getting to them

  • Nice info mate! I regularly feed a grey mother squirrel in my back garden, here in London. She can disappear for a while, but turns up suddenly and is then usually hard to satisfy ;-) I've watched her moves though, and these are her typical actions: 1 whole monkey nut she will take, nestle it firmly into her mouth (usually turning it over several times before finally nestling it), then "shoot off" up a nearby tree towards another location. If I give her half a monkey nut she will 9/10 times

  • Question, Yopu had stated that they will live 12 years in the wild while most texts that I have read said 1.5-2.0 yrs. only?

    What am i to believe?
