Le beau chant, l'élégance, le style, la voix .... L'Italie l'a accueillie à bras ouverts, on comprends pourquoi ....

Il est vraiment dommage que l'on n'entende pas plus Mme Massis en France. Elle est toujours un peu corsetée, mais quelle noblesse, quelle technique. Inoubliable Mathilde de Shabran.

Beautiful fluting voice, but needs a little work on the technique. Having said that I would rather listen to her than most modern singers.

Actually, it's called a faulty technique. Still, she could be an awful lot worse. I'm spoilt in that I've listened to the Sutherland, over...and over....and over again. I'll never choose to listen to Massis, I don't like the sounds favoured by the French school, but I suppose I ought to be less harsh. Still, that was an impressive crack!

It's called a "live recording" and sometimes the imperfections which are in the real world come out. Maybe you would be happier with the electronically engineered perfection of studio recordings.
