Usually pieces are not captured in professional games. I think, anyway on the internet against "High Rating" players, there seems to be one capture at the most for games.
they must be playing a variation where they agree that ONLY five in a row wins and captures are just to delay opponents win,AND they play on the squares instead of intersections, its a strange board as the inner squares are a different color AND the edge is jagged unlike a chess board, it must be some made up pente variation.
Its a Kings Court Board.... Fun game in its own right.
