Capcom Vs SNK 2 EO - Nintendo Gamecube

Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO is the same game but with minor changes in gameplay and the inclusion of an EO ("Extreme Offence") system that allows the player to perform specific attacks by simply moving the right analog stick in a certain direction. Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO also removed the Roll Cancel glitch that was in the original versions.

Like all other home versions of the game, CvS2: EO also contains four bonus characters: Evil Ryu, Riot Iori, Shin Akuma (Shin Gouki in Japan), and Ultimate Rugal (God Rugal in Japan), powered-up versions of four regular characters. Shin Akuma and Ultimate Rugal are the boss fighters, and display tactics typical of bosses from SNK Playmore's fighting games. However, the damage taken by Shin Akuma and Ultimate Rugal is increased to balance their above-average speed and special attacks.

Before selecting a team, the game offers a selection of "Grooves", which change the way the game is played, as well as "AC-ism" or "GC-ism" Grooves; GC-ism simplifies the control scheme, originally designed for the GameCube gamepad. In the Xbox version it's called EO-ism.

can some one tell me what the groove thing is. i never played this game and iam thinking icould get this game but can somebody please tell what the groove thing is!  also can anybody tell me if this game is any good.

@missbkitty1 There's 6 grooves, C,A,P,S,N,K. They allow different abilities like run or dash, air block, different super gauges and lots more. It actually adds a lot of depth and I'm not gonna pretend to be uber, I'm not, so I usually pick the C groove as it is similar to Street Fighter Alpha. The best thing is though, it actually tells you in the corner what the abilities of the groove are, when you are choosing your groove.

Other ports of CVS2: DC is flawless, PS2(NTSC) is flawless too and has no bilinear filter (pro or con,it depends on tastes), PS2(EU) has 50hz/blackbars issue. Xbox is EO but without GC's color issues

Sadly something went wrong in the sprites' color palette in the gamecube port. lots of blues became greenish and lot of char skin (sagat, zangief for example) is over saturated and completely messed up that it makes them look awful. I am a devote of this game and i have all versions. And since GC is my favorite of last gen console, it's very sad it's the only port who suffer this thing.
