(HD) Transcript: "For many years now for the church in the western world, the word heaven has been used for the place that we go to, ultimately, and theres been lots of speculation about that. But in the new testament, the ultimate destination for the whole world, is that God is going to renew it, and bring heaven and earth together into one, in a great act of cosmic renewal and redemption. And that means when we think about heaven itself or where people go immediately after they die, the bible doesnt actually give us very much clue about that. Little hints and guesses here and there. And it says, no, thats fine, but the real thing is what happens after that. This is what I call the after, after life. Its not just the after life which we dont know very much about. Were told were going to be looked after. God will keep us safe. Paul says, my desire is to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. But the question is what is after that? Thats where resurrection and new creation are the really important thing."

the bible talks of string theory (or maybe about atoms) before there was even any study of quantum physics.
Wisdom of Solomon 19:18.. "on a harp, each string keeps its own pitch, but each sound can be combined with others to make different melodies. that is how it was in those days, when the very elements entered into new combinations. Look at what happened!"..
see, who says the bible is uneducational.^_^

@davea0511 I will not bring up speculation of multiverses or string theory. "sophistication" would have no interaction with it. actually no words would probably be able to describe, "what", "where" "when" and "how" everything exists in these "universes". see what I did there? I brought up all the 11 dimensions we know of because the idea of other universes are simply not possible for our brains to get a perspective of.

@davea0511 by the definition of "we" I mean the conciousness, you know the electrons that interact with the connected neurons in the brain?
with all the trillions upon trillions of stars you think that some small cells cant form from all that matter? remember that we havent even discovered all the matter in the visible universe yet. lots of antimatter, dark matter and energy. what do you know about those elements? maybe the cells really came from space?

@davea0511
FYI... for more info on why the multiverse is a necessity to sustain atheism (because of the statistical near impossibility of an existence like ours) check out some of the works by the famed author and atheist Paul Davies. He claims to have invented the multiverse concept in order to explain away God.

@SweRaider1993
Depends on your definition of "we" ... if you are correct that the spark that gives life to a simple cell is nothing more than a self-sustaining system of cyclical reactions impossibly evolved out of chaos by mere chance, made possible only by assuming we live in a pocket of serendipity in an infinite multiverse (where 99.999999% of other universes never evolve to this point of sophistication), then I agree with you. Scientifically I can not adopt such extreme assumptions.
