  • just love this song uk

  • I lost it on "Aw, pick it...I mean blow it."

  • when did this trombonist come in?

  • IN THIS VERSION I CAN UNDERSTAND EVERY LYRIC BECAUSE IT IS SUNG CLEARLY !!!!!! It is a great tune in both Lovin' Spoonful and Homer and Jethro Versions !!!!!

  • The Trombone is probably Boots Randolph.

He played trombone on lot's of stuff in Nashville.

(As much trombone stuff there was in Nashville.... not much.)

  • Thanks for posting Sometimes Homer and Jethro could put me in tears laughing. Superb musicians also.

  • Ah pick it... I mean blow it! I'm 49 and I remember when my family had this one in our record collection. We lost a lot of good records including Homer and Jethro records in a fire in 1978. Thanks for posting. If you ever come across their version of 16 tons I;d love to hear it
