A majority of poor inner city Blacks are good citizens; but the few violent criminals ruin things for everyone. In many poor neighborhoods rents are cheaper and landlords are more likely to ignore criminal records.

I look down upon the man in the video because he is a petty thief (and apparently he is not being a thief just to survive), not because of his skin color.

Yes, "equating a petty thief with a group of truly oppressed people" is "a very interesting analogy" isn't it. It's about as interesting as the term "RECLAIMED neighborhoods". I'm not against gentrification, I'm against snobbism, fear-of-poor-innercity-Blacks, prejudice, bigotry and such.

People do not like irritating crime, so it is perfectly acceptable to turn the tables on people like vandals, graffiti artists, etc. Of course, since this is merely irritating crime, rehabilitation is probably the best solution.

The rich singles moving into Midtown should expect some irritating crime, but it is also reasonable for them to take actions against it.

It's a shame the Indian tribes can't "reclaim" THEIR territory. And if they did, they would of course be portrayed as barbaric aggressors as opposed to the victims that they truly are. And I'm sure you would like to have "proactive action taken against true thieves and against mentally ill individuals who need to be institionalized", but the fact of the matter is you can't always have your cake and eat it too. Eat a bite of reality. It's good for you.
