  • Hi, Im hoping to take my PPL in around 1 - 2 years time. Could you please tell me about how much it will cost?

    thanks,

    great video, nice flying

  • It depends on how long it takes you to finish. If you have long gaps between lessons, then you have to play "catch-up", to get back to where you were when you left off. Expect to spend in the ball-park of 7 or 8K (start saving!!). If you take at least one or two lessons per week, that is a good pace, and you should finish in about a year. Good luck.

  • Hi there, great video shot.

I want to start my PPL there at WOO. What can you advise?

    Thanks

    Kerem

  • Its a great place to learn, ..a busy little airport, and a full flight school. The best way to get advice is to just go out there one Saturday or Sunday when the weather is nice. there are always plenty of instructors around and staff who can help you get started. check out the website, -just "google" freeway airport. --Good luck!

  • Gas is alot now. Look to see about 5K to 7K at the most. Best thing to save money, do some flights to know it's what you like. Then do study and take your written exam, its good for 2 years. Than finish all the flying and do multiple lessons in one day. Otherwise you'll be like me and have to repeat and practice, took me from June '05 to Feb '08 to get my PPL cuz of work and start and stopping. Key, be consistant, it will save you $1K's

  • I was hoping this was a video of a forced landing on the freeway. Always want to know how cars would react if it ever came to that.

  • yea man... im now 16 and solo certified for everyhting. now waiting til im 17 so i can get my PPL. but, i pay about 127 an hour with an instructor and about 95 when i go up alone. but, trust me... the money adds up real fast. i have a lil over 50 hours. so, u can do the math... its not to cheap, but it is really worth it.

  • hey im 15 as well and want to start flight lessons but im curious as to how you pay for them.

  • Cool! I have about 5 hours so im still relatively new. i was always interestes in aviation, but i just started lessons last year. I cant wait for my solo too!

  • yea, im 15 and i go about once a week. i have a lil over 35 hours in and i do my solo in 3 months. cant wait!!!!

  • exactly what my instructor said. since im only 13, he recommended one flight every month until i am 15, then start going weekly. P.S. Great Video!

  • Freeway is a nifty little airstrip. I often stop there on my way to OXB.
