Lars Ulrich is a terrible drummer. It's that simple. To be honest, Hetfield, A GUITARIST/VOCALIST, helps Lars, THE DRUMMER, more than he should. He basically gives Lars the patterns to play tells him to do it. HE IS SHIT. Sorry guys, But it's true :D

Lars is so cool. Metallica has influnced my band so much. I cant go a day with out listing to them or Clutch. This has nothing to do with anything but one day I found a Master of Puppets casset tape on the sidewalk. I wanted to keep it so I opened it and the tape box was still there but the tape was all yanked out. worst thing to find. I wanted a tape of them too. Oh well.

I think Lars went a bit in "arrogant rockstar" mode in the late 90's - or maybe not arrogant but a bit too rockstar for his own good. After St. Anger he seems to have calmed a bit and being a lot more focused and grounded.

Lars and Metallica did the best thing possible to fight illegal downloads of their music. They just stopped recording music people wouldn't even steal.
