deKontamination - Church of Frag Movie [Quake Live]

After a hard struggle, i'm proud to present my new movie! :D

As with any of my movies, i tried a lot of things different here:

- almost perfectly set up wolfcam, took ~ 7 hours (thanks to KittenIgnition, fraggedIce and olls3n)
- rendering lossless and make it smaller with meGUI (thanks to antii's guide)
- different music (thanks to my metal-loving clanmates)
- way more picky about the scenes (thanks to anyone who complained on earlier Movies ;p)

I'm extremely happy with the final result. While i still see different aspects to improve (I'm looking at you wolfcam and your bugginess when i want to make cams!), i'm also pretty confident it turned out ass-kicking overall. Hope you think the same. ^^

Additionally, the wolfcam setup orgy left me with a way to record easy and fast now, so i may end up doing more movies now.

@Vandwo thx! the song is 'Phosphor' by the german band Eisbrecher. They sound a little like Rammstein sometimes though ^^

Tips:

Bright Skins for forceenemyodels

cg_fov 115

download wolfcam and use some effects with that

add better music (not so hardcore)

add effects!!!! slow it down, blur it just make it look cool

and last but not least make it longer :D

fov 115 was (for my taste) too slow when moving forward, this should have been 120. Maybe i'll try something likte 117 or 118. XD

i used wolfcam, just not the fancy stuff. I just wanted to have a good recording config. now that i have that sorted out, I'll go on from here.

You'll never be safe from random metal, but my next movie won't use it ^^

I'll see what i can do effects wise without overediting.

Length depends on the community ;p

Well freecams is because of a buggy wolfcam version with items and players constantly disappearing in freecam mode. but i have a new one, so problem hopefully solved.

It my be a bit high on the fov side, but 110 or 115 just looked... slow to me. maybe i'll wind it down digit by digit, hehe.
