Jipp! Saw UDO live a couple of weeks ago. Killer! For sure we also have a lot of songs without backtracks in our live set 2012, but HOTH surely sounds better supported with a key track. We'll decide the use of backtracks during the rehearsals starting in march.

@PietSielck Not all bands track and the orginal Genesis, Selling England By the Pound was the first the played exactly as their albums. This was back in the 70's.

There is alot of tracking used in this tune including guitar. Don't get me wrong, I love the group and can't wait for their North American Tour......I'll be there! Peace!! Try out U.D.O., they utilize twin leads guitars and sound heavy as you'll get. METAL!!

Be sure that especially this tune will be a killer live. And yes, just like everybody else out there we will also work with backtracks for the keyboards. And one last thing: the backing vocals are made only by people who are IN the band, haha!

for more darker or heavier power metal bands I can check out please let me know, I actually like power metal when it's done right unfortunately there are too many bands in the genre who focus too much on the fantasy and melody aspect and not enough on the "power" part of the genre's namesake

if only we had more power metal groups like Iron Savior, Blind Guardian, and Iced Earth who have the traditional power metal traits like the fictional song topics, the grand and epic feel and majestic songwriting but also musically have balls and are actually quite heavy, unfortunately for every one of these kind of PM bands we get like ten of the crappy ones with the happy sounding guitar riffs and singers who sound like the could be on a care bears soundtrack. If anyone has any suggestions
