Really great video. I cannot believe the amount of Giant Sea Bass. I've only seen a few off Catalina Island. Seems like LA Jolla is an incredible dive spot. Thank you for posting!

la jolla is great, just bring any spearfishing gear into the cove, theres another cove down by birdrock that has some great spearfishing. If you shoot one of those giant black sea bass, your ass may land in jail, they are protected

was this a protected site or can you spearfish it?

That was in the Marine Protected Area at La Jolla, so no spearing there. There is hunting allowed just outside the reserve... about 30' from where this video was shot. The Black Sea Bass are protected, so you can take those, but decent hunting for white seabass and others in the summer.
