@PaulineVanStanley Most doesn't know that when people without insurance go into the emergency room is actually paid for through the premiums of people with an insurance. Ever wonder why it always feel like the premium is too high?
So in fact, even without a mandate the people with health insurance is already paying for the uninsured.
What is silly is our current broken medical system is treated as some sort of symbol of freedom when it is quite the opposite.

I agree with you that the military won't do anything except follow orders. The military was designed that way. They are not allowed to think, they are conditioned to submit to authority, period. And that conditioning is backed up by strict military justice. No soldier is going to disobey orders. Eventually some officers might try to stage a coup but it won't be easy.

A top senator is calling for fines of up to $3,800 on families who fail to get medical insurance after a health care overhaul goes into effect.
The plan from Democratic Sen. Max Baucus of Montana would make health insurance mandatory, just like auto coverage.
