wow the media really doesnt know anything, im from the chicago suburbs and im a former dope addict, heroin is not as addictive if snorted, and black tar isnt a "bad quality" heroin is a more pure form of heroin, you can snort or shoot it reguardless of the quality

plus no one in the burbs calls the ike heroin highway, we call dope houses heroin hotels though

@ANYONE who has a heroin addict that they love - Please look into Suboxone. It is a newer treatment and it is a MIRACLE. It allows the addict to live a real life without withdrawl and contains Naloxone (same drug they give in the E.R. for O.D.s)which prevents the addict from enjoying any type of opiate. I owe my life to Suboxone. Say what you want, but after the first week of using heroin, IT IS NO LONGER A "CHOICE". The fools who wrote that clearly are ignorant regarding substance abuse.

@yamahaboy57 Tar is far worse for you if you are injecting. The impurities cause abcesses and infections that COULD ultimately lead to amputation. 90% of the dope in Chicago is white or tan (both powdered HCL). The appeal to younger kids is that it can be insuffelated (snorted) and the stigma associated with needles isnt found with powder. Powder can be and is injected though and is actually prefered by most users.
