@harveybobbert you also said yourself; she is 22 months old. A lot of the newer generation do prefer Sam to Greg, why? I have no idea. I grew up with Greg, I remember the very first Wiggles show coming out. As for how it can get dumbed down while getting more complex -- think of it this way: when something gets more complex, it becomes harder for children to understand and/or memorise (depending on the child of course)... "dumbing down" doesn't necessarily mean lacking intelligence but message.

@mokibearblack How can something be dumbed down by getting more complex? Also, my daughter who is 22 months has no problem getting active and into it. If anything she gets less into any of the older Greg related Wiggles.

@mokibearblack and Greg wouldn't have made him an understudy or given him the yellow skivvy if he didn't think he could do it, if he didn't believe him capable.

@tfli08 the thing those parents forget, too, is that Sam was Greg's understudy. No, he's not Greg, no he never will be Greg, but he's got talent in his own way... If anyone paid attention, as I'm sure most parents don't, they'd realise that 1. Dorothy has changed over the years. 2. Henry & Wags use to be Jeff and 3. Captain Feathersword use to be Anthony.

@harveybobbert They're kids songs... they're not suppose to be complicated. The point of the Wiggles was simple lyrics and simple dance moves that kids could jump up and join in with. When Greg left, they changed, as every group does, and it's gotten far more complex... it has been dumbed down in the sense that it is no longer about getting kids active and into it.
