i saw this show when it first aired, the style was hot in memphis and there were a few pioneers that pushed the art form. we were all inspired by cleave's performance, just as smooth as he wanted to be. there proved to be several crews in my area that performed the style: northside poppers, southside gangsters, the "world famous" bluff city crew, which i served as choreographer, rapper, beatbox and dj.
