Now THIS woman can really, really sing! So many of the main stream "singers' out there right now have to have the old razzle dazzle so that people will not detect they have NO talent. Storm, your voice is amazing! So happy you are coming to light! Instantly I am a huge fan!!!

Well, for me it's quite the opposite. Chine's voice is irreplacable. Storm has great stage presence but her voice is too harsh for my taste. But I guess it's just that - a matter of taste. Still, I miss China!

Anyway pandora's box is open and Pink Martini never be that same as before! After so spectacular performances with Storm Large  Pink Martini can't be with China Forbes only! Someone likes wine, someone likes champagne - who's wine and who's champagne in Pink Martini? ;-)

thats your perceptive and character. and with this storm large person i feel that she is going way 'larger' than the emotions she is fielding - it is as if she is really 'storming large' - overriding entire presence of the band with an exaggerated character, but not bringing equal emotion. and i didnt find her singing as effectual on me.

China is great but she could never have brought me to tears performing this song and some others the way Storm does. I've never just laid in my back yard until her version of 'Slender in Grass' (I had my laptop, watched it several times and probably made the neighbors nutz). Maybe it's her body language, the force of her vocal interpretation or the way she puts a wild side to the songs. I couldn't carry a tune in a closed box but I know what I like AND I hope Thomas keeps them both as singers..

I live their use of classical music .... they are great.
