  • @dlsmith2771 Isaac Stern once said, "Emotion is the breath of souls past." I believe those lost speak to us through emotion. It is what remains of them beyond mortality, and is what you are able to feel. Emotion has the longest memory...Those last strains heard upon the sea that night by the hundreds drowning will continue to be heard by humans for ages, as the call of the mortal. Thank you for your expression, good soul.

  • @smnona100 thank you for such an uplifting remark. Your words brought me to tears of joy. (doesn't help that I'm watching the end of titanic)

  • @smnona100 you just brought me to tears (of joy) what insight you have! I wish I was as eloquent with my words. Thank you for being you and posting such an uplifting remark. :)

  • We are so ineffably bound by our mortality, and yet an immortal race could not write and sing a song like this. We pay the price for loss in beauty..., and does this not tell us that this world and its family of life is worth saving. The Gods out there would surely want to be nearer to us, who suffer infinite loss, and find love.

  • A great hymn! We should all consider that as each day passes we are one day closer to standing before the judgment seat of Jesus Christ.

    A sobering thought indeed!

  • The Peerless Quartet, at the time of this "Orthophonic" recording, consisted of Henry Burr, Carl Mathieu, Stanley Baughman and James Stanley. They disbanded two years later.

  • Essa são as verdadeiras canções iluminadas por Deus.

  • the string quartet totally played this song as the Titanic was sinking in the movie...

  • @TheBJDillon :D we do if you look hard enough. It is a shame we have to look so hard though. watch?v=uZ5H3YmaVvI
