@JJoneEIGHTY alright i think i put it in with the right amount, and i just checked to see if it was still moist enough after a few weeks and there was some mold on the sponge so i threw out the whole container
-
@FantomOfFear It was not really wet at all, just slightly damp, but i guess i should do even less?
And Idk how humid it is but I bought my guitar used with a crack in the finish, which i dont want to get worse

Good one, thanks Dude!!!

How long before you have to rewet the home made one?

@rolandsdisc
1 to 2 days id say, just make sure you really squeeze out the sponge,
you only need a tiny amount of moisture in there,

Hey i made a tubaware humidifier and after 1 day my case smelled like mold so i took it out. Also the neck of the guitar that was above the case was damp. I feel like these two things could lead to serious problems fo rmy guitar?

@FantomOfFear youre probably not squeezing the sponges out enough! you only need a slight amount of moisture in there! and only when humidity levels are low,-40/45% humidity
