I wouldn't get bored, I'd listen to my iPod! You can have an iPod during the test right... RIGHT?!

interesting video. ;) have a nice day, please!

for the skittles test, didn't anyone eat all the seven even before the 10 mins was over? After all, all the 7 skittles were in front of them, right? :)

You should take off the effect over your face, because people will take you more seriously. But in all honesty, this video was really cool. I knew already about the experiments, but it's still a good informational video. :D

I found the explanation very long. I couldn't look at the video because I couldn't focus on any one thing. I did this test on my kids when they were 2. They passed, yay. But throughout the years I found that they've never been challenged enough, so they all have been told they have ADD. Interesting.

makes you sound like a creep at first lol "hey kid, i have something for you." lol
Thank you for your input. Frankly, human nature is interesting to me and eyes can be very misleading. They say that blind people are better judges of character than sighted people. The effect of making myself look strange actually puts people to the test and challenges them to hear with their ears and heart. I am really OK with some not taking me seriously. Those who can see past my appearance are probably the same people who show love to children who aren't so cute.

Did you know that blind people are better able to judge character than sighted people? Yes, it is true. That's because they are not distracted by visual input, which can be very misleading. They rely on their ears and better listeners. By the way, I actually look like a normal person without that special effect in place on my computer. But you aren't the only one who has complained of the way I look in my videos. I am fascinated that people are reacting so much about my negative appearance.

Yes, I'm pitiful because I watched the whole video. In the second twisted example the adult says "i'll let you eat all 7 skittles if you wait for 10 minutes" but she didn't say "you can't eat the skittles". Why weren't there any kids that chowed the damn skittles straight away and walked out of their room with 10 extra minutes to sign up for more free candy?

That's because average children at that age are more innocent and the average child of that age still has a view of adults as authority figures. Remember too that the skittles study was done 3-4 decades ago. The whole world has gone criminal since then.

why are you doing this?

Here's why: People can too easily be enslaved to their desires. Parents often become like suppliers of pleasure, forgetting that that teaching kids to resist their desires can be one of the most valuable things they can learn. This test can teach a world of good and useful things to both parents and kids. Watch out! Bratty kids can turn into inmates!
