Richard Lainhart's performance (part 4) www.otownmedia.com Filmed at Handmade Music Night at Etsy Labs in Brooklyn, New York. Richard chose his Buchla 200e Electric Music Box not only because of its compact size and functional density, but also because it's the only patch able modular synthesizer with preset memory, making it ideal for live performance.About the music: "These are free improvisations based on exploring the sounds, tonalities, and textures available from electronic instruments and processing. There are no rules as such, and basically anything goes, but they are usually performed with live electronics rather than with pre-recorded material, to allow for the greatest improvisational freedom."

It's really very nice, although it reminds me of many other musicians... certain pieces from Bowie's LP heroes, Brian Eno in general... Not original, but as music alone wonderful

heh, I'm sure thrcman knows this but for the sake of those who don't, the two types of synthesizers are correctly spelled Buchla and Moog. :-)
