half baked and pineapple express are just to glamourize drugs for teens and kids.. yeah its funny but it has an agenda. i'm so glad Mark has taste and actually understands the power of movies. U guys r just mad cuz it conflicts with your lifestlye choice. I smoked chronic for 12 years straight and i'm done with it now. So dont think i havent been there..

God he is fucking annoying, the whole point is youre not meant to look at who directs/writes the film. Humans have an inate ability to prejudge. Which i think is what Kermode does repeatedly.

The action scenes are tacked on and a bit too fantastic to be believable, but overall the movie is a big heap of adolescent fun. That's exactly what it is. Here's how you know if this movie is for you: from the minute you first see James Franco's boyish stoned grin light up, if a part of your inner goofy adolescent heart doesn't light up as well, then you might as well walk out of the film right then. Otherwise, you'll really like it.

the people who watch that want a break from complex plots and want to see lighthearted comedy, with explosions
