It's not so much not giving a fuck but learning to love yourself and put yourself first. "Not giving a fuck" is just too broad a statement. ALWAYS care about and love yourself and just ignore the haters. Most of the gay bashers are secretly gay to begin with and waste thier lives reflecting thier own gay inclenations in the form of hate towards other gays because they really like boys but are stuck with girls. Hell, I'd be pissed of too. They really should be pittied!
