This is an excellent transfer. And I didn't know Tauber recorded it. I only know the Bjoerling version. But Tauber absolutely owned this repretoire.

fabulous voice and orchestration!!!!!!!!********cannot believe that i am the commenter for this excellent sang phrasing correctly, great operatic arrangement in the minor key. love it****** love the middle orchestration without singing high class recording and clear in high fidelity. thank you poster, you post high quality rated highest 11+ ROGHARM love this record.

@rogharm I agree Tauber was Austrian as we all know, like Bjorlings version(see posting), I think each version has that charm, sung with a alight foreign accent to the lyrics adding a little extra. Taubers version sold well and always turns up. He recorded also Indian summer and Bless this house, at the same recording session May 1940. Indian summer(see posting) is superb also.
