  • 5mm central disc extrusion is seen at L5-S1 bad or not because I had received 3 epidural injection and my pain is not going away at all in mornings when I weak up some times I feel better, but when I start walking the pain is getting worse, running down my legs I feel cold my feet some times tingling and big pain in my lumbar causing me spasm I can not walk straight, repetitions bending over causing me really painful, and the doctors say 5mm is not to bad they tihnk need to walk more.I have7mont

  • For the most part, the pain and numbness is gone. Right after the surgery, I had some aching right around the surgery site but this has subsided. Only if I do alot of bending or alot of physical labor, I still get some mild aching in my right buttocks area. This pain usually goes away after I take some advil. The Dr said this pain will slowly suside once the nerve gets used to not beign compressed anymore.

  • @Brisoup1

Hello, Hope it worked for you, can you have us updated of the surgery and results ? how are you feeling now ? is the pain completely gone ?

  • Going to get a microdiscectomy done in less than a couple days for my L5 S1 disc heirniation. Been having pain and numbness in my right thigh and foot. I've had 2 steriod epidural injections with limited success. Hoping this ends the pain.

  • @t28c hey. How did your surgery go? I'm considering having a partial discectomy or having my surgery done at the Laser Spine Institute. I hope your doing okay. I'd really appreciate your feedback.

  • Thank you for this. My surgery in 2 days, not looking forward to this and quite nervous.
