Tis not a "drawbridge." Tis a "Bascule" type bridge also known as a "truss" bridge with counterweights. A drawbridge is far different.

Wow, that drawbridge warning alarm sounds like an old railroad crossing! Do most of them make that noise?

We have, or at least HAD, a siren and bells (for audio warning signs) in the Long Beach/Los Angeles Harbor bridges (the replacement rail vertical-lift one for the old Badger Street car bascule bridge) nand the Schuyler F.Hein Vertical Lift (which looks somewhat like the Sacramento Tower Bridge) next to it which is for cars.

Annoying warning noise - at the bridges I know here in Copenhagen the bell only rings as the bridge goes up, after that it's only the red lights flashing.
