  • This guy is in a position of responsibility? Good grief!

  • What an enlightened concept. Disagree and be damned. The Lancet study's are ALL BIASED based on their METHODS, not the moonbattery of the publishers.

  • @whatdoesitmatter It does matter. Judged by this clip, this man is a political fanatic, and I can't see how he will drop his fanaticism and suddenly become a balanced and objective academic. Otherwise it's hard to understand The Lancet's huge anti-Israel stance, which shows no balance at all.

  • @EdwinaTS I was in Iraq 06-08. Civilian lawyer not military. I recommend you read

    The Casualties of War

The Lancet Study of Iraq Deaths is Further Discredited

I experienced first had how much death was going on in Baghdad 06-08. Yet the Lancet I'm sorry was a junk study and vastly inflated the casualties. I like to think I believe in truth before agendas whichever side one takes.

We (US UK) did kill thousands of civilians. At the same time, the VAST majority were killed by other Iraqis.

  • Get a grip you paranoiac.

  • Friends! Be careful of criticising blood thirsty UK/US troops' video's. You will be threatened and they try to fuck your computer. Army squads are putting their own video's on and ganging up on anybody who disagrees with their sickening glorification of violence. EG see "Remember Us" from blimok32.

  • Those who justify war invariably grossly understate the costs of war. Thanks Dr Horton for doing the calculation, and drawing attention that there are much better ways to devote our energy & our resources.

  • Yours and Chris' video of Horton are being used all over the world as evidence that the "maker" of the study is politically biassed and therefore the study cannot be trusted. It says alot about their ignorance. I was linked here from the newsnight blog! For anyone else who might be reading, Horton published The Johns Hopkins Mortality Study and didn't make it!

  • Thanks for this video. People who deny the 655,000 figure should be treated the same way as holocaust deniers.

  • Well said Horton! Thanks for coming to Manchester and for your forthright no nonsense speeches about war and health issues. "We do don't do body counts" said an infamous idiotic US general talking about Itaqi dead. Thank goodness for Johns Hopkins and the Lancet.
