Last night was nice, wasn't it?
Yeah, it was good for me.
I meant the club. Opening the club and everything.
Oh, yeah that...that was very nice.
Weren't you pleased?
Yeah, I was very pleased.
Lots of very rich people there. Very chic. Did it cost a lot to open?
No, not that much.
How did you pay for it any ways?
I told you. I took out a mortgage.
Oh, yeah. You didn't need any cash or anything?
Not too much, eh.
Oh, you did...use some cash? How much did you use?
Well, let's put it this way, we're not exactly bankrupt.
Did you use cash from our savings?
No, I didn't use cash from our savings. I used cash from my account. You know from the club.
You didn't tell me? I mean, that money is technically mine too, you know?
I didn't think to tell you.
Oh? I'll be down in the lobby.
Anna? Anna? Damn!
Duke is getting a raw deal in the last scene here. The man runs a business. He's supposed to check with his wife first every time he makes a business decision? He'd told her he'd taken out a mortgage, and she obviously knew he was planning a grand opening. If she was that worried about how he was financing opening night, she should've asked him beforehand.
