HESPERUS improvises a live score to accompany the 1920 silent film The Golem, based on Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jewish music. In this scene the Golem goes berserk and fights with the nobleman who fell in love with Rachel, the rabbi's daughter. The tune is Xinany. Performers are Tina Chancey, vielle; Sasha Bogdanowitsch, ney; Emily Eagen, soprano; and Carlo Valte, oud. www.hesperus.org
