  • This is a very relaxing version of the beautiful Schubert Serenade. The piano has a very nice soft sound, it does not hurt the eardrums. Or, is it the playing technique that was applied? SIMPLY GREAT! My hats off to you.

  • unbelievable control and touch!!

  • This perfemance along with horowitz's are the best here on YouTube. Bravo!!

  • Horowitz like

  • Frederic chiu, que dulzura de interpretacion, ternura, paz, pasion, delicadeza, mucha emocion en cinco minutos. Gracia. Bravo-

  • I was put off this guys playing whenI saw him do the Schulz -evler waltz the tone was hard and who would dare play a Lhevinne specialty if he did not have wondrous tone color. Here he is doing a Horowitz color and phrase specialty. I wish I had da training to know what is required. He plays beautifully here and his Prok # 6 is a marvelous logical statement. I so want to be carried away with his playing. Here he is . Pluperfect tone and phrasing. He really should play Faure

  • 10 are sleeping 9 are playing 1 is reading this put this on 4 video comments within 15 mins,if u do, sum one u love will surprise u sum how!! If u don't , u will lose ur love.!!

  • The chromatic scale near the end is pathetic.

  • @100BucksMovies: Horowitz is a narcissist who treats the piano no more than a toy. Not much soul in his playing; I'm often disappointed.

  • one cannot hope to compare Horowitz with Chiu.S

  • The use of estaccato not original, Horowitz did that for many many years. I like that. The difference is that Horowitz played more with the tempo. He qualifies the piece, brings more movement, more strength at the beginning, decadence, melancholy, and again a serious force, a convición not a dream, and still in love and hurt and we still keep talking. All this is very difficult to achieve and Chiu fails.

Anyway, it's a good performance, really good

  • The tempo feels perfect. I can't actually decide if I like the pronounced staccato, but I certainly don't dislike it. Beautiful voicing in any event, thank you for the experience!
