Nice tut, also, if anyone thinks he is using color changing LED, you're wrong, he just used a video editor and did the color changing effect, you can do it with Windows video editor easily.

I just don't know how well those would hold up. I can normally bust up the plastic loops when I get into it so I highly doubt that tape would hold it

trust me i spin really hard and the tape hold perfectly. i break the glowstick before the tape comes off... oh and i do a better job on the tape when i make them fore real. much tighter!

this looks kind of bulky, have you tried using say a 3v LED and a button battery (say cr2032 secured with electrical tape) sort of like an LED throwie, and stuffed it into the glowstick tubing?
