The RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship involves a three-step qualifying process. Step one is local qualifying at an estimated 330 sites in North America - Many more around the globe. Step two is regional championships (used to be district championships) for men and women - 12 regions in North America. Internationally, regional championships equate to national championships. Step three is the world finals and RE/MAX championship week in Mesquite, Nevada. Five long drive titles are decided at the Palms Golf Club in front of a sellout crowd and national TV cameras. RE/MAX championship week in Mesquite takes place in late October. More than 200 of golf's biggest hitters will travel to Nevada and battle for bragging rights in golf's greatest grass roots event. Championship Facts: Local qualifying for the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship begins March 1. Sites and dates for RE/MAX WLDC local qualifiers are posted beginning in mid-February and are updated as they solidify. Local qualifying events run throughout the spring and summer. Regional qualifying events are scheduled beginning in August and extending through September. Total Purse: $600,000 Adult Divisions: Open Senior (45 and up) Super Senior (53 and up) Grand champion ( 61 and up) Women Entry Fees: Local Qualifying: $40 (Open and Senior) $30 (Super Senior, Grand Champion and Women) Regional Championships: $125 Adult Divisions for nonmembers $75 Adult Divisions for LDA members

  • @Sp33dyMik3 I use a Taylormade R9 stiff shaft. I've only been playing for half a year without any lessons though... well paid lessons at least.

  • @Loads24 ya i drive 220-225 and average short game so irons and shit is like 150. ya youu probably just gotta better swing than me, like i said just by reading the tips i added about 30-40 yards to my drive and i havent even come close to mastering my swing i still fuck up some times, the clubs u use help too u probly gott better clubs i just got Rams

  • @Sp33dyMik3 is this your drive??? cus im 10th grade 5ft 5 138lb and i drive 280 average 8iron about 160...

  • one of the guys who recently won the long drive wrote an article in golf magazine and its so useful, if u can get ur hands on it read it. im 5 ft 5 120 pounds in gr 10 and i averaged 150 yards and max about 185 until i read the article, no joke i can hit max like 220 now. and for a small guy like me thats unreal and straight too. noo hook and shit

  • i dunno how many yards but i hit about 220 metres :/ thats maximum so whatever that is in yards :)
