    No, it's not the kid from Stand By Me. That was Will Wheaton, who went on to star in Star Trek The Next Generation. But Barrett Oliver and Will Wheaton were both dark haired, close in age, thin etc. (Barrett Oliver was younger by about three years I think.)

    I enjoyed this movie for the same reason I enjoyed Pinnochio (from which it was derived).

    However, I could never quite believe that an SR-71 Blackbird would be parked on a loading apron, all gassed up and ready to go, with the keys in it, just waiting to be stolen. Even a Cessna 150 is more complicated than that.

    The trouble, I mean the biggest flaw of this movie is that the kid playing Darryl does not even act anything like a android, its just that he doesn't even give anything out to make you feel that he is a robot. In other movies actors have shown characteristics that they are a robot mimicking a human. Arnie in Terminator, even Fassbender as David 8, and he did that really well.
