Trio for Flute, Cello and Piano in A major, Op. 78
A chamber work by Austrian composer Johann Nepomuk Hummel (1778-1837), a close friend of Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert. Hummel was considered one of the greatest piano virtuosos of his time. As the teacher of Carl Czerny, who later became a great piano pedagogue himself, Hummel had a great influence on the development of Romantic piano technique.
Performed by the Chinook Trio.

Brilliant! The part from 2:40 onwards uses an old Russian/Ukranian melody ("Cossacks Ride over the Duna" or something to that effect)
I don't know much about the origins of the song, but I know the Swedish jazz pianist Jan Johannson also used in in his Russian folklore album
