INSULTING!! KTRH talks about controversy started by State Senator

SPEAK ENGLISH: A firestorm brews after State Senator Chris Harris tells a man testifying in spanish and has been in the U.S. for over 20 years to speak in English. The man was talking to a committee looking at the Sanctuary Cities bill and Harris called it insulting that he was testifying in Spanish. This is causing a lot of debate. Houston's Morning News talks about it with State Rep Carol Alvarado and Felicia Cravens with the Houston Tea Party.

Speaking to any governing body in other than ENGLISH is an insult to all those citizens that have become fluent in OUR country's LEGAL language. Not sure about Texas but the Nevada constitution spells out ENGLISH as our legal language. It is about time the tax payers stand up and demand that ALL government documents be in ENGLISH only! We will not pay for translators or multiple language printings!
