besides, the Soviet Union wasn't truly communist, and neither are places like North Korea, China, or Cuba
communism is about equality
it moves to create a classless, stateless, and oppression-free society, where the people have control of the means of production, and goods are sold based on use value
China, for example, is the opposite of communism, considering how badly they treat workers (to the point of commiting suicide)
