You can try to rationalize all you want, but it doesnt change the facts. The tree is a pagan god and has no place in Christianity, nor should Jesus need to share his b-day with it.

If you want to celebrate Jesus birth then I suggest you drop the pagan traditions.

oh - yes - I agree with you there - I am speaking of the influences that came into the church as it progressed - Jesus Christ is completely true without 'borrowing' from pagans - but other aspects that are brought out in the book PaganChristianity are completely different.
