Cincinnati Slim was a predominant Blues Entertainer/Artist around the Cincinnati, OH area back in the 80's and part of the 90's. This video was shot by Landman Productions at his last U.S. show on June 5, 2009 at The Trolley Stop in Dayton, OH. Slim has relocated to France. The Average Joes were backing him up with the fabulous Jimmy D. Rogers on Keys (except on this tune because I was playing) Joe Hill was amazing on the guitar. Mike Hausfeld and Joe Prescott did a great job being a tight rhythm section.
The audio from this video was a mix between the camera mic and also a soundboard feed that I had. Out of the hundreds of music videos I have filmed/edited, it is not the best audio but it is not the worst either! If I would of had the budgeting, I would of sub-contracted an audio specialist to do a multi-track recording of the show. Overall though, I was pleased with the overall results. One thing I know for sure is that the magic was captured and that is the most important thing being a documentarian!
Nicely done!
