Music Review, Part 1: Exclusive footage by the Pollock and Pollock News Channel: Christian music singing and drumming sensation Sean Quigley, is seen here holding his drums (before the huge January 8, 2012 Christian rally before 15,000 people at the MTS Centre, Winnipeg), in front of a blinding white light, giving him a Jesus like appearance. At 16 years old, Quigley has made history by being the one of the first singers ever to have one of his first singing attempts (lip syncing on the video) become a huge hit. Not even Elvis or the Beatles can make this claim. They both sang and recorded for years before making it big. Quigley, who uploaded "Little Drummer Boy" to the internet only in December of 2011, and who is now in January 2012 on itunes with his massive hit of that song, is on his way to making millions of dollars from this hit from itunes alone. This should make the publishers of the song very happy. According to ascap.com, the publishers of "Little Drummer Boy" are EMI Mills Music Inc., New York, and International Korwin Corp, New York. And of course, also happy will be the inheritor of the royalties of the main writer of "Little Drummer Boy" (Welsley College, famous girl's school) bestowed onto them by the writer Katherine Kennicot Davis (who taught there). Co-writers Henry V. Onorati, and Harry Simeone estates will be very happy too. Quigley has not given credit to date in his internet video to the writers of the song and the publishers, nor mentioned anything about obtaining the required mechanical licence through the Harry Fox Agency, the premier agency for that sort of thing. Obviously, just an oversight. And the media in their massive coverage of Quigley's huge hit, have all incorrectly published that "Little Drummer Boy" is a "traditional" song, which, in copyright terms, means there is no known composer. Of course since the composers and publishers are quite well known as just stated, it is impossible that this is a "traditional" song (in the sense of that well known meaning of copyright). "Little Drummer Boy" was copyrighted a number of times, first in about 1941 by the original author Katherine Davis, then renewed in 1958 when she gave co-writing credits to Henry Onorati and Harry Simeone. The copyright to "Little Drummer Boy" was renewed in 1986. Sean Quigley's dad, Bill Quigley, a drummer himself, is being given credit for the massive planning for his son's meteoric rise to instant fame, getting his son a manager, agent; and is in the throes of arranging a huge recording deal for Sean. Bill is to Sean what Colonel Parker was to Elvis. Bill has a recording studio in their Winnipeg, Charleswood house. Charleswood is a well off suburban area of Winnipeg, where Sean has been attending high school at Oak Park School, where he is now in 11th grade. Bill's strategy for Sean (where Sean denies that he has done all this for fame and money, but rather for "Jesus" and people in "poverty"), has been brilliant, and succeeded beyond all expectations. According to many witnesses, Sean tried, but failed, to replicate his wonderful lip synced vocal in "Little Drummer Boy" at a subsequent public appearance to the uploading of the video, where he was not miked, sang faintly, and cited having a "cold" as the reason he couldn't sing the song as good as he did on the video. And at the rally in this video, mysteriously, Quigley did not sing his big hit, when his appearance was widely advertised, and you'd expect he would have performed it.
