performed by Ludwig Semerjian on a fortepiano built by Anton Walter c. 1789, same as Mozart bought in 1784 and, contrary to Mozart's piano in the Geburtshaus in Salzburg, without "modernizing" changes.
I absolutely agree. I was never much of a Mozart fan until I heard Brautigam's recordings of the sonatas, which apparently aren't even considered among his better works. So much more engaging than all that 'profound' mooning around on Steinways. This posting is great too - thanks!

Good Interpretation, nice and clear. There's nothing like Mozart on period instruments!
