A lady with very limited mouth opening. Last GA in another hospital ended up with dental injury, failed intubation and emergency tracheostomy.

  • The scheduled operation was some sort of surgical reconstruction inside her pharynx, otherwise LMA would be an option

  • Her epiglottis disrupted the tube advancing along the midline. 'Ronck'n roll ' manuever in this movie was performed at too caudal level.

  • that is so wild..

  • I think the use of fibroscope under local anesthesia it would be a better choice.

  • nasally wouldnt work either, they wouldnt be able to see anything with the laryngscope

  • Very rough. No good.

  • Oh god! shes going to be sore when she comes around, I have a small mouth as well, and i hope i never have to go through this in my life time?

  • I'm not doctor but isn't it always an option to intubate nasally?
