@TheDeeDotMan I haven't sent it off for repairs yet I'm going to wait a while because i saw on an online thread that the same thing happened to someone else and their bb started working after 4 days of leaving it alone... if I still don't find a solution by the end of the week I'm going to send it for repairs

Hi, my 8900 has some water damage, it turns on when the battery is put inside, but none of the buttons/ keyboard is working, the trackball moves up and down when asked to confirm the date and time but doesnt work when clicked.. any ideas on what can be done? Thanks

@sensation2k8 If the device has been water damaged it is possible the keyboard flex was damaged. The flex cable under the keyboard controls the clicking of the trackball as well. Likely this is the only issue if everything else appears to function correctly.

@RepairsUniverse Thanks for this! I've just recieved the flex cable but I have no idea how to replace it :S Could you do a tutorial on that please if possible? Thank you

@sensation2k8 It is quite simple. Follow this video up until about 2:20. From there, disconnect the old keyboard flex cable and replace with the new one. If you require any more assistance, feel free to contact our tech support at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.
