I was having the same issue with mine, i called spektrum and they told me to just move the loop up 3 fins on the cooling head and now the temp on my readout is the same as if i use a temp gun. Hope this helps

They are good cars. If you have heard of AliShanMao at youtube. He is a pro. He got a lot of Acme cars. They are not very bad
