These carts/trolleys are commonly placed in the loading zones for disabled parking in these big-box stores. The one in the photos, the Winter Haven Wal-Mart does it every day, sometimes to the point to where I cannot park at all in the assigned spots. The only safe spots for those in a chair, unless one ENJOYS being backed-over by an SUV, truck, van or inattentive driver.
However, this issue is much larger than this... watch and see.

  • I live in a town that is supposedly "ideal" for people in wheelchairs and I still see these kinds of things going on. Tons of stores simply don't bother with ADA compliance. I get tired just thinking about how many complaints I could/should file. Maybe I'll go on a rampage once I have my personal life in order.

  • It would help more than just yourself if you did.

  • ya we have strict parking downtown but there is not many mom and pop shops at all downtown.

  • A law office or ad agency is still an individual office and often a family business... the model of true commerce and capitalism.

Not federally subsidized and courted behemoths that would not exist without socialism style pandering and special treatment on this small level up to global trade favoritism.

  • And when I called to complain that it was idiotic to give me a warning for not moving, because I could not park in my own driveway and had to park on a nearby street, they told me "Well, it's just a warning, there's no fine."

    That's not the freaking point!

Sue me for getting home early from work. Having nothing to do but lounge at home, sleep at night, wake up and not have to go into work until late afternoon - which all put me over 16 hours. The police chalked my tires and waited.

  • There's no places to go to in Fairport, Ohio, so the police here have nothing better to do than idoiotic stuff: They were doing city constr. on my street and I had to park on the street. In my city you can only park for 16 hours on the street without moving. So over the course of the day, night, and next day, I didn't move my car and they gave me a warning.

  • Actually, in the long run, encouraging the small business owner is better for capitalism and this nation.

Favoring and subsidizing is what makes the big-box corps. possible. Without it, true capitalism would create real competition and they would be held in check.

    You are incorrect.

  • You have to love the world of capitalism, welcome to the land where profit is more important then the people.

  • i have rated your videos a few times and favorited them in hopes more people will see them.

i hope all the best for you and its a shame it has come to this.

  • I am sorry to hear that, does not surprise me though.
