The DEC is proposing taking DOWN two more towers - St. Regis and Hurricane, in 2010. Contact them and tell them NO, or at the least to MOVE them to other mountains (like DeBar & Makomis) - two mountains where towers once stood (that didn't need to come down).

Keep, restore and use the firetowers, they can still serve their original purpose and new ones, often they provide the only views available from the peaks like Wakely. They are monuments to man's stewardship of the forests, and should be preserved as such.
